Cities as mobility hubs: tackling social exclusion through ‘smart’ citizen engagement

(ENG) The H2020 SMARTDEST project “Cities as mobility hubs: tackling social exclusion through ‘smart’ citizen engagement” involves eleven research centers and universities and aims at mapping, understanding, and framing on a theoretical level the processes through which new forms of mobilities (such as tourism and mobile dwelling) are reproducing new forms of social exclusion, imbalances, conflicts, and other ambivalent externalities in urban contexts.

(ITA) Il progetto H2020 SMARTDEST “Cities as mobility hubs: tackling social exclusion through ‘smart’ citizen engagement” coinvolge undici centri di ricerca e università e mira a mappare, comprendere e inquadrare i processi attraverso i quali le nuove forme di mobilità (come il turismo e le “mobile dwelling”) riproducono nuove forme di esclusione sociale, squilibri, conflitti e altre esternalità ambivalenti nei contesti urbani.
