DIST Sociology of environment and territory

Marta is a postdoctoral fellow (researcher “type A”) at the Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning (DIST), Politecnico di Torino. In 2023 she has been awarded the Maria Skłodowska Curie Global Fellowship. She obtained her PhD in Social and Political Change in 2017, at the University of Turin and, thanks to an Erasmus Mundus EUSA_ID fellowship, in 2015-2016 she has been a visiting fellow at the Department of Development Studies at the Nelson Mandela University, Gqeberha, South Africa.

Her research interests focus on participatory and transformative research, engaged scholarship, development and post-development theories, cultural and memory policies, and cultural industries.
