DIST Economic and political geography, Urban and regional planning

Monica Postiglione has been an Assistant Professor at the Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning (DIST) of Politecnico di Torino. She holds a Ph.D. in Urban Planning at La Sapienza University of Rome, an MSc in Cities, Space and Society at the London School of Economics and Political Science and during her PhD she spent a semester as a visiting student and Research Assistant at Harvard University.  

Her main interests are represented by social, institutional, and spatial changes which are transforming urban realities with particular attention to urban regeneration processes and practices, forms of participation, and social innovation. She collaborated with numerous associations and research centres and from 2017 to 2021 she has been Executive coordinator of Fondazione per l’Ambiente and Turin School of Regulation. Since May 2022, she has worked with FULL as a team member of the H2020 project SMARTDEST.
