Antonio De Marco, Ph.D. is Associate Professor at the Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning of Politecnico di Torino, holds a Doctorate in Economics and Complexity at Collegio Carlo Alberto and a Master of Science in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. He contributed to research projects funded by the European Investment Bank, the European Patent Office, the Joint Research Center, and the European Commission.

He is Associate Editor of the International Journal of Innovation and Technology Management and serves as a reviewer for international journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, the Journal of Technology Transfer, Technovation, Economics of Innovation and New Technology, the Journal of Engineering and Technology Management, Management Decision, the Journal of Industrial and Business Economics.

His research interests are in the areas of the economics of innovation, the knowledge spillovers, the markets for technology, the management of intellectual property rights, and the economics of cities and urban areas. Such topics are investigated with an empirical perspective and micro-econometric techniques. His scientific works have been published in refereed international journals such as Research Policy, the Journal of Economic Geography, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Annals of Economics and Statistics, Economics of Innovation and New Technology.
