FIELD NOTES
Open PhD Seminar
Tuesday 29th January 2019.
h 09.00-11.00
@ FULL
Within the research framework on “City and production” PhD students Matteo Gianotti and Alberto Valz Gris have explored rapidly urbanizing territories through first research trips to their selected sites, respectively in East Africa and South America.
Both have been travelling along a line, one moving along the recently built Ethio-Djibouti railway connecting the Ethiopian capital to its main port while the other following the first stretch of the li-ion commodity chain through Northern Argentina and Chile.
During this seminar they will present their research from the field and share insights, issues and first hypotheses with other researchers across a number of departments.
