Gli studenti del Politecnico per la rigenerazione territoriale del Molise

Castel del Giudice, città in provincia di Isernia in Molise, è stata scelta come caso studio accogliendo dal 17 al 20 ottobre gli studenti accompagnati dai docenti Antonio De Rossi del Dipartimento di Architettura e Design (DAD) e Loris Servillo del Dipartimento Interateneo di Scienze, Progetto e Politiche del Territorio (DIST) e coordinatore di FULL, insieme ai dottorandi Marco Del Fiore, Mauro Fontana, Matteo Tempestini e alla dottoranda Federica Serra.

Cinquanta studenti dell’Atelier Città e Territorio, del corso di Laurea Triennale in Architettura, hanno così partecipato al viaggio studio per affrontare in chiave progettuale il tema della fragilità socio-spaziale dei territori di margine.

Il viaggio si inserisce all’interno delle iniziative del “Bando Borghi”, il progetto per la rigenerazione del territorio e lo sviluppo sostenibile finanziato dal PNRR con 20 milioni di euro: un progetto che mette insieme idee, opportunità e persone facendo della città molisana un laboratorio sperimentale a cielo aperto per raggiungere tre finalità in linea con gli obiettivi dell’Agenda 2030: avviare una nuova urbanità contemporanea che argini lo spopolamento, per creare nuove forme di economia sostenibile e per attrarre nuovi abitanti.

Nelle quattro giornate di full immersion, i ragazzi hanno conosciuto ingegneri e tecnici locali, parlato con gli abitanti del paese e abitato i luoghi della quotidianità per scoprire da vicino le esigenze della popolazione e trarre spunto per elaborare progetti in linea con le attività di rigenerazione.

I futuri architetti del Politecnico hanno elaborato i primi concept progettuali per gli spazi pubblici del borgo, che sono stati successivamente presentanti al sindaco e all’amministrazione.

Nei prossimi mesi gli studenti – suddivisi in gruppi di lavoro e guidati dai docenti e dai loro collaboratori – lavoreranno nello sviluppo di dettaglio dei progetti che saranno poi presentati e restituiti alla cittadinanza.

Fifty students of the Atelier Città e Territorio, from the three-year degree course in Architecture, thus participated in the study trip to address the theme of the socio-spatial fragility of marginal territories from a design perspective.

The trip is part of the initiatives of the “Bando Borghi”, the project for the regeneration of the territory and sustainable development financed by the PNRR with 20 million euro: a project that brings together ideas, opportunities and people, making the city of Molise an open-air experimental laboratory to achieve three goals in line with the objectives of Agenda 2030: to launch a new contemporary urbanity that curbs depopulation, to create new forms of sustainable economy and to attract new inhabitants.

During the four days of full immersion, the students met local engineers and technicians, spoke with the townspeople and inhabited everyday places to discover at first hand the needs of the population and to draw inspiration for projects in line with the regeneration activities.

The future polytechnic architects drew up the first design concepts for the village’s public spaces, which were then presented to the mayor and the administration.

In the coming months, the students – divided into working groups and guided by the lecturers and their collaborators – will work on the detailed development of the projects, which will then be presented and returned to the citizens.
