Caterina Di Lucchio

Caterina Di Lucchio is a PhD candidate enrolled in the 38th cycle in Urban and Regional Development at Politecnico di Torino.
After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Economics, Markets and Institutions at Alma Mater Studiorum in Bologna, she moved first to Paris and then to Turin where she graduated in Cultural and Territorial Economics. For her master’s thesis, she investigated the concepts of social innovation and spatial justice in urban regeneration processes in marginal urban areas, through a focus on the role played by the social hub “I Bagni Pubblici di Via Agliè” in Barriera di Milano, in Turin. She is currently involved in the research project “Urban regeneration: institution, agency, and tools” at the FULL. Her research interests focus on the concept of urban marginality and experiences of inclusion of disadvantaged people in underserved neighborhoods through urban regeneration processes.
