On the occasion of the 2025 Cuneo Mountain Festival, the Future Urban Legacy Lab is participating in four events to present the results of the research project “Mezzaluna Alpina – Dynamics and prospects of the mountain-city territories of the Province of Cuneo.”

  1. On Friday, May 9, 2025, the event “Cantieri di Futuro: dialoghi territoriali per la Mezzaluna Alpina” (Building Sites of the Future: regional dialogues for the Alpine Crescent) will be held, inviting administrators, citizens, professionals, and third sector actors to participate in roundtable discussions to share ideas, experiences, and visions and build new perspectives for the mountain-city of the future.
  2. On Saturday, May 10, 2025, FULL will officially present the report “Mezzaluna Alpina – Dynamics and prospects of the mountain-valley territories of the Province of Cuneo” at the Mezzaluna Alpina Conference.
  3. From Saturday, May 10, at 2 p.m. to Sunday, May 11, at 9 a.m., the streets of Cuneo will become the setting for the Villaggio Alpino, a space where visitors can learn about and meet the organizations that work in and promote the mountains. The FULL Center, together with the student groups TOC2 and Shelters, will be present in Via Roma with activities and presentations aimed at the public to illustrate their respective work.
  4. On Saturday, May 10, the Cinema Monviso will host a screening of Le terre di tutti (The Lands of All) by Ferdinando Amato and Emilio Di Treviri, as part of the series of meetings entitled Radici e orizzonti: dialoghi sul neopopolamento (Roots and Horizons: Dialogues on New Settlement). The screening traces the recent history of the “Comunanze Agrarie” (Agricultural Communes) in the Sibillini National Park in the Marche region.

Screening of the documentary “LE TERRE DI TUTTI” (The Lands of All)
Cinema Monviso
May 10 at 4:30 p.m.
Along the Apennine ridge of central Italy, struck by the 2016/2017 earthquake, there are still collective properties known in the Marche region as “Comunanze Agrarie” (agricultural communities) that have survived, inside and around the perimeter of the Sibillini National Park. For centuries, these institutions have served as a bulwark against poverty and hunger and helped people cope with the difficulties of life in inaccessible areas. Based on the testimonies of the women and men who live in these areas and who have turned their mountain isolation into a source of strength, “Le terre di tutti” traces the recent history of these communities, raising important questions about the present and the challenge of preserving the land for future generations.

Directed by Ferdinando Amato and Emilio Di Treviri
The screening is organized by the FULL – Future Urban Legacy Lab Interdepartmental Center of the Polytechnic University of Turin as part of the series “Roots and Horizons: Dialogues on New Population,” which focuses on the theme of new internal migration trends, particularly among the younger generations in Italy.
The series is curated by Silvia Cafora, Antonio De Rossi, Mauro Fontana, Federica Serra, and Loris Servillo.
