Following this, the day\u2019s theme \u2018Tornare, restare, migrare\u2019 is discussed by Filippo Barbera and the authors. La Tornanza (A. Prota, F. R. Albano, 2024), Migrazioni Verticali (edited by A. Membretti, F. Barbera, G. Tartari, 2024) and Voglia di Restare (edited by A. Membretti, S. Leone, S. Lucarelli, D. Storti, G. Urso, 2023) deal with the theme of the chosen movement of people towards inland and mountainous areas from different perspectives, regardless of the different reasons and collective trends that push people to move to the highlands.
