The primary objective is to analyse the themes and challenges of contemporary housing as experienced by the so-called \u201cgrey area,\u201d namely that segment of the lower-middle class which, although above the maximum income thresholds for access to public\/social housing, nevertheless finds it extremely difficult to navigate the private housing market.&#13;\n&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<p>The work relies on web scraping operations in order to obtain data \u2013 used to construct maps and subsequent analytical operations (including comparative analyses with other Italian cities) \u2013 relating to the private housing supply both for rent and for sale, identifying the quality, quantity, and location of housing accessible to different types of lower-middle income families.<br\/><br\/>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The research focuses on the analysis of private housing stock in the metropolitan area of Turin.
