Digital models of urban space are used to connect many layers of information, characterized by different disciplinary scopes, representation scales, and acquisition and processing methods. The thesis investigates the abstractions of physical space that make these city models measurable and suitable for sharing data. The work develops and verifies the hypotheses emerging at the intersection of three main themes: (1) spatial models of cities as \u201coperating systems\u201d; (2) digital tools and the role of abstraction in models; (3) city form as a tool for interpretation.&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Publications<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Palma V.
