He contributed to<br\/>research projects funded by the European Investment Bank, the European Patent Office, the Joint Research<br\/>Center, the European Commission.<br\/>He is Associate Editor of the International Journal of Innovation and Technology Management and serves<br\/>as reviewer for international journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, the Journal of Technology Transfer, Technovation, Economics of Innovation and New Technology, the Journal of Engineering and Technology Management, Management Decision, the Journal of Industrial and Business Economics.<br\/>His research interests are in the areas of the economics of innovation, the knowledge spillovers, the markets<br\/>for technology, the management of intellectual property rights, and the economics of cities and urban<br\/>areas. Such topics are investigated with an empirical perspective and micro-econometric techniques.
