He holds a PhD in Urban and Regional Development from the Politecnico di Torino, where he focused his research on Italy’s inner and mountain areas, with particular attention to service accessibility, welfare, and local development. He conducts research on territorial fragility and disparities at FULL – Future Urban Legacy Lab. His work primarily explores territorial regeneration through strategic planning processes and place-based policies.
In parallel, he investigates urban regeneration in small and medium-sized cities, integrating social and cultural innovation. With a strong background in urban design and community activation, he has led projects aimed at fostering social cohesion through participatory and regenerative processes, including BRUalinu – Benessere e Rigenerazione Urbana (2023–2024), winner of the Creative Living Lab call by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture, and CentroCampo – Rigenerare il Campetto di Via Inghilterra (2021–2022), winner of the Participatory Democracy call by the Municipality of Canicattì (AG).
