Manuela Ronci

Manuela Ronci, landscape architect, holds a doctorate in Urban and Regional Development from Politecnico di Torino (PoliTo) and Università degli Studi di Torino (UniTo).

Her doctoral thesis focused on the investigation of the role of landscape architecture and planning in promoting urban biodiversity, with the final ambition of highlighting design strategies that can fill in the gap between plan predictions and design practice.

Her current research work deals with the activation of urban regeneration processes through the configuration of articulate systems of river parks, with a particular focus on the municipal and ecological context of Turin.

She works as a teaching assistant at Politecnico di Torino in several Master’s and Bachelor’s level courses within the fields of landscape architecture and landscape planning, respectively.
