Public conference organised within the framework of the PRIN PNRR 2022 LINUS โ Living the university city, coordinated by Professor Loris Servillo (DIST). The four research units of the LINUS project will discuss with researchers, professionals and policy makers in the field of student housing and urban and university policies on three key topics: financialisation and access to housing, studentification and housing policies
The event sees the joint participation of four interdisciplinary research units with expertise in urban studies, spatial planning, urban sociology and human geography from the Politecnico di Torino, Milano Bicocca, University of Padua and University of Bologna.
The LINUS research project aims to address the interaction between urban strategies and university programmes, housing supply and demand and the struggle for affordable housing. This issue, which is still little investigated, has a significant impact on student life and the social sustainability of cities. The conference is a valuable opportunity for debate, where the four research units of the project exchange views with researchers, practitioners and policy makers in the field of student housing and urban and university policies.
