The FULL center is organizing a series of seminars called FULL immersion with the aim of reflecting on its own lines of research, grouped into the clusters of ecological, just, and digital transition, in relation to the context. A seminar is planned every 2-3 months, alternating between the three clusters. Each cluster will offer two meetings, continuing until fall 2025.
This first meeting aims to investigate the state of the art of research within the extended FULL community, in particular the future prospects and possible synergies of research work relating to the theme of ecological transition. Researchers who are conducting or have conducted research in various capacities on the relationship between the use and enhancement of local resources (environmental, energy, etc.) and the development of urban and territorial legacies are invited to participate in the meeting.
The working perspective is to systematize research lines and interests that share, as a common denominator, the relationship with territorial resources, viewed not from a “predatory” perspective, i.e., simple economic exploitation, but as potential tools for planning and managing urban and territorial transformations.
What is expected from the meeting is the emergence of perspectives that are not necessarily shared in principle, but which may also highlight any contradictions or contrasts between different scientific approaches. To this end, the researchers involved will be asked to interpret the theme of the day on the basis of their own research interests and the discussions that arise following the presentation of their research activities.
This first meeting should be considered as a preparatory roundtable for a second meeting, which will take place in 2025 and will also bring high-profile external contributions to the discussion table.
