Living in university towns: the impact of the student population on urban policies

A dialogue between cities: Bologna, Turin, Milan, and Padua

Typology:

The Metropolitan Observatory of the Housing System (OMSA) organises the first public seminar in the framework of the implementation agreement between the Housing Policies Sector of the Municipality of Bologna and the Department of Architecture in collaboration with the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Bologna.

The meeting is proposed as an opportunity to examine and discuss housing and urban planning policies at a regional and local level over the last twenty years, through a comparative perspective between the cities of Bologna, Milan, Turin and Padua involved in the PRIN PNRR 2022 LINUS project – Living the university city: student housing as drivers of changes. The programme includes institutional and academic speeches, together with a round table that will bring together representatives of the four working groups of the cities involved.
